Tuition & Policy

Lessons are offered weekly in 30 minutes, 45 minutes, and 60 minute, and only the registered student may be permitted in the lesson room.

Due Upon Registration:

• The Refundable Deposit is due at registration to hold your lesson slot and will be refunded after the session is completed.
• The Administration fee covers, but is not limited, to the following: administrative and billing services; performances, recitals, and concerts with associated facility fees; masterclasses; accompanists; rehearsals; audition evaluations; certification opportunities; and community participation with the Joyful Sound of Music.

Summer Session

• Our Summer Session offers up to eight weeks of lessons, from mid-June to mid-August. Tuition is due in full at the first lesson. Students must notify Joy Music Studio of any unavailable dates before the session begins, as no makeup lessons are offered during the summer session.

Tuition & Payments - Music School Year

• All weekly music lessons must be paid for, regardless of attendance.
• Billing: A personalized link to your online tuition statement will be emailed. Music School Year tuition is billed every three months.  
• Accepted methods of payments are credit cards (a transaction fee applies), check, or cash.
• A 10% late fee will be applied seven days after the due date. If tuition is not paid by the second lesson after the due date, the lesson slot may be offered to the next student on the waitlist, and all administration fees and deposits will be forfeited.

Attendance & Makeup Lessons -  Music School Year

• Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance for any absence.
• Lessons canceled within 24 hours may not be eligible for a makeup lesson unless it is a true emergency or another student can take the lesson time.
• Students may receive up to four makeup lessons per music school year (approximately one per tuition payment). A substitute instructor may be used.
• Makeup lessons cannot exceed four per music year without director approval. Missed or canceled makeup lessons cannot be rescheduled or carried to the following summer session or music school year.

TWO FREE LESSONS!

Refer a friend to our music studio and get TWO FREE 30-minute summer lessons after they register and complete the school year. Some restrictions may apply.

Discontinuing Lessons

After discussions between the teacher, parent, student, and director, please email us at least two weeks before discontinuing lessons.

*Students may be asked to discontinue lessons at the director’s discretion due to unpaid tuition, excessive absences, or lack of student engagement.

Use of Photographs and Videos

The safety and privacy of our students and their families are a priority. Joy Music Studio may use photos or videos of classes, lessons, performances, recitals, and concerts for promotional or educational purposes, with no names included in print or online materials. If you do NOT consent for us to use photos or videos of your child or family members, please email us at lessons4metoo@gmail.com
